Back in the groove
After The hurricane really threw a curve-ball at my team, but thankfully we were able to shoot with no problem and the compositing truly begins!
For A02 I have done a quick comp in order to get the concept across of our revised idea for the introduction of the ad.
10/1/24
Began a garbage comp for A01, with and without an experiment of color; a single frame. The frame is not final, nor is the wall, it will be a set extension, and the frame will be a cg asset to be integrated.

Received the first pass for C02; first thing we noticed was that the particles look brown as they are coming out of the canvas which from a color theory perspective makes sense as purples and greens with yellows make brown but we did not want that to happen

I edited the ad down with help from my teammates from approx 1 min 40 seconds to 39 seconds removing dead space, and shots that did not do the same thing as one another, so that each shot is directly moving the story rather then ruminating upon the feeling of the shot.

We worked on matching the perspective from the live action camera to the cg camera as Saw had begun working on the set extension

Another pass of the current render of the particles, pyro, and skittles. I have done a bit of research on difference mattes that rather then rotoscoping the entire character for this shot, I am going to do a mix of keying and rotoscoping
10/6/24
There was been a bit of an issue with perspective matching for the painting specifically, so we expanded the canvas, changed the camera from an 18mm to a 35mm to account for the black magic camera's horizontal sensor's aperture; 23.10
I took just the canvas that was rendered with the different cameras without the cg easel to put on the live action plate for comparison. Although it does not look like it lines up perfectly from a technical perspective with the camera used on set, this is the most accurate camera.

Old Camera(18mm)

New Camera (35mm)

Fixed version of the pyro and particles, and was given an updated version of the set extension. the renderfarm has been down for a lot of today, so a single frame is totally still workable for now to match in picture.
